Varsha Dixit’s debut book, ‘Right Fit Wrong Shoe’, courtesy Rupa Publishers, is a book about contemporary love, laughs and loyalties. It transpires in the more-than-a-mere-third-world city, Kanpur. The protagonist of the book, Nandini Sharma, is a passive-aggressive, emotional eating, twenty six year old working girl. Her life could be simple but she works hard to keep it complicated. She is true mix of neanderthal philosophies and ‘aaj ki aurat’ (twenty-first-century woman) ideology. Nandini, like every other person, inhabiting the planet India, is ‘touched’ by Bollywood (now a global phenomena, for sure!)
